Welcome to the Havenus Journal

Honest, practical visa guides for expats in Korea — written in English, by your concierge. Here's what we're writing and why.

Hi — I'm Eric, the founder of Havenus.

This journal exists for one reason: every time I help an expat in Korea with a visa, I hear the same questions. Questions that should have clean, plain-English answers on Google — and usually don't.

So we're writing them down, one at a time.

What you'll find here

Practical walk-throughs of the visas we handle every week. Real numbers, real timelines, real document checklists. No marketing filler. No "contact us for a quote" behind every paragraph.

A few examples of articles already in the pipeline:

  • How to get a Japan tourist visa from Korea — complete English guide
  • China L visa from Korea: US vs Non-US citizens — what's different and why
  • Vietnam e-visa from Korea: the 5-day process, explained
  • US B1/B2 visa as a Korean resident — embassy interview prep

What you won't find

  • Generic articles that sound like they were written for any country
  • "Top 10 tips" listicles
  • SEO-stuffed boilerplate

If an article isn't useful enough that your friend could send it to you and you'd actually read it, we don't publish it.

Why this matters to us

Havenus is a premium visa concierge for expats in Korea. We handle the Korean paperwork, phone calls, and embassy visits so you don't have to. But even if you never become our customer, we think the information itself should be free and accurate.

That's the promise of this journal.

More articles coming over the next few weeks.

— Eric
